Rob McNelis for Santee City Council 2010

This is a position I have been preparing for, for the last 10 years. I have worked hard in the community as a volunteer on many boards and committees. I have chosen now as my time to run not to make some grand change on the City Council, but to help carry the ball a bit further down the field. You see I have attended nearly every City Council meeting for the last 6 years to educate myself on the issues facing the city of Santee, and in doing so I have found that I have agreed with most every decision made by the Council. That being said, I did not see a reason to run in the last two election cycles because the fine members of council that we have were doing a great job. Now however is a different time, and we are going to lose one of our members to the State Assembly. I would like to take over for Brian and help insure that we do not take a single step backwards in fulfilling the goals of Santee’s General Plan. If elected you will have a representative that will hit the ground running with little to no learning curve.
